"Pure"nell's Poke Help [Friendship]

Maybe one of you guys can help me out here.

I need a female Lucario. Right now, I'm working on growing berries to bump up my Riolu's happiness but I'd figure that if one of guys already had one, it would save me the waste of a day or two and the usage of however many berries I'd expend. Any takers?

Use a Soothe Bell while you're at it and ride your bike around in 4th gear. @nd thought, I don't want you to have a Lucario, unless you plan to make him really slow. And without fighting type moves.

Well, knowing my luck, I'll make a sucky one anyways. ^_^

So, just riding the bike will do the trick too (with bell, of course). I'm guessing that its going to take a bit of time by just using this method though, right?

Bike riding is incredibly mind numbing. Personally I much prefer the Berry method. Just give them the Soothe bell before any Vitamin or Friendship Berries. 20 vitamin and 19 berries does the trick. Of course if you got the money, I think with the soothe bell they’ll friendship up in less than 50 vitamin (if its for a parent and you’re not worried about EV distribution).

If only money could buy berries. IT took me an entire day (and then some) to get one berry yield! Of course, that yield amounted to something like 60 berries...but still.

That's why I'm an anti-berritite. Go to Solaceon City, walk to the left edge of rt 210, hop on your bike in 4th gear, put the DS in one hand, don't look at the screen, [ride] hold up wait 10-8 seconds, press down wait 8-10 seconds --- break if friendship is maxed out, goto [ride]

I’d just rather spend less than a minute four times a day to water berries, than hold the D pad up and down for hours. Yeah the berries take a day, but you can still do whatever you want during that time, including not having the DS with you.

A good 10,000 steps or so should be enough. Just save the game before you give him a rare candy (he needs to level up to evolve). Use the friendship checker periodically to see if you're close.

4 times?
Really?

Every forum..blah blah that I checked was spouting some crap about watering them every hour or two...if its only 4 times then that makes the berry thing much sweeter.

I’m pretty sure you only have to water them once per “stage”. Of course there’s no harm in over watering them. I could be wrong, but I’ve been pretty happy with my berry yields thus far.

Also, when you do hte berry thing, do you usually put it in sleep mode or actually save and turn it off each time?

If all I’m doing is looking for berries, then I’ll just save it and turn it off. Usually though I’ll start berry planting before doing something else, like breeding a batch of a new pokemon,.and then just check up on the berries every so often.

Of course, if you're looking for really easy happiness, you could always just go to Fuego Ironworks and use the tiles to move yourself automatically. There's a spot where an arrow shoots you up, so all you have to do is keep the down arrow held down with something and walk away.

HEY! Now that's not a bad idea!

You know, I've never actually gone out of my way to make a pokemon happy. It usually happened as a result of training it. By the time I've pumped 20 (or in some cases more) vitamins in a pokemon and ev trained it, they usually end up maxed out on happiness at that point.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, feeding poffins raises happiness too, so if you don't mind the process of making poffins, it's not a bad way to help raise happiness. And even though you can only use her once a day, don't forget the poke-masseuse.

I've worried about happiness plenty, what with return being one of the best normal moves around. It does suck waiting for berries if you want them right away, but as long as you plant them ahead of time, its the fastest way to go. Soothe Bell, 20 vitamin and 19 berries is definitely the fastest way to full happiness. You'll be done in the time it would take to even get to Fuego Island. And friendship berries have a pretty good yield, so hitting up a bunch of planting spots at once means you'll be swimming in them after one day.
