A New Way to Get Shinies

So I happened to check pokemon.com this evening and there was a new article up about the GTS. Personally, I thought this was kind of odd since there is nothing particularly new about GTS....BUT! They tossed out a little known fact that may be a change in the game mechanics because they said that if you use a pokemon you got from a foreign country (via GTS) to breed, your odds of breeding a shiny pokemon increase. Now as is pokemon's style, they never actually publish their probabilities, but it is safe to say that the odds are better than the 1/8192 that you ordinarily have of breeding a shiny (or running into a wild one).
